The Vernon Parish POW Paintings, Gallery One Ellleven, 111 Third St., Leesville, Wed.-Fri. 11a.m.-4p.m., Sat. 11a.m.-3p.m. Sponsored by Gallery One Ellleven, Vernon Parish Tourism and Museum of West Louisiana. Held in conjunction with the State Preservation Conference held in Leesville the second week of April. Gallery will be closed April 6-9 for Preservation Seminars. Cost: Admission free. ArtWalk
April 15
Downtown Alexandria, 4-9p.m. Sponsored by Arts Council of Central Louisiana and the City of Alexandria. Free family oriented walking tour that features the visual art of artists throughout Central Louisiana and live entertainment. Sidewalks, green spaces and the alleys will come alive as local artists display and demonstrate their works of art. Train Day

10a to 2p Train rides, train exhibits, and train activities for the day.  Chick-Fil-A will be here serving a limited menu.

Admission at the TREE House Children's Museum is $4 for adults and children under 2 are free.
